Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 25, 2026
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal data Zaptoline collects, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We keep this document straightforward and avoid unnecessary legalese.
1. Data We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email address, password hash) when you create an account. We also collect usage data automatically, including pages visited, features used, and browser/device information, to improve the service. We do not collect payment card details directly — payments are handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to: (a) provide and operate the Zaptoline service; (b) send transactional emails such as account confirmations and password resets; (c) send product updates and feature announcements (you may opt out at any time); (d) diagnose technical issues and improve platform performance; (e) comply with legal obligations.
3. Sharing Your Data
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: (a) trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g., cloud infrastructure, email delivery) under strict confidentiality obligations; (b) authorities when required by applicable law; (c) a successor entity in the event of a merger or acquisition, with prior notice to you.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies to operate the service (e.g., session authentication). We use analytics cookies to understand how the service is used — these are first-party only. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings; this may affect some functionality.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records).
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls limiting who within Zaptoline can access personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to processing; data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email support@zaptoline.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children
Zaptoline is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice in the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
10. Contact
For privacy-related questions or to exercise your rights, contact us at support@zaptoline.com. We aim to respond to all privacy requests within 30 days.
